Provost appointed
Santa Clara President Fr. Michael Engh, S.J., announced Dr. Dennis Jacobs as the the campus' new provost for academic life in a campus-wide email. "I'm very excited, and think that for the university he's a great choice," said Don Dodson, the interim provost who has filled the seat while Santa Clara searched for a new provost.
Graham redesign
Housing changes will include the opening of the newly completed Campbell townhouses, as well as the demolition of the current Graham buildings, which is scheduled for late June or early July. Construction on the new Graham building will begin immediately after and "New Graham" will be ready for students in the fall of 2012.
Terrorism at SFO
"The thought that the death of one man [Bin Laden] will end the overall conflict is simply ludicrous. In order to end events such as this one we need to put a greater emphasis on U.S. intelligence gathering and cooperation with Pakistan intelligence, because when it comes down to it every terrorist related event stems from the conflict between Israel and Pakistan," said Bobak Esfandiari, Santa Clara junior.

On May 5, more than 250 people gathered at Santa Clara to celebrate the 41st Annual Engineering Senior Design Conference, an event that showcases the projects the senior engineering students have been working toward in their four years at Santa Clara.
